Get involved with Puerto Rico,

You do not need to live in Puerto Rico to be involved with the island. There are many organizations both on the island and on the mainland that are working to rebuild Puerto Rico and help our island become more self- sufficient. When you support these organizations, you are helping to strengthen our people and our island. ​​

Foundation For Puerto Rico

The Foundation for Puerto Rico is one of the largest endowed public charities in Puerto Rico. They promote opportunities for social and economic development on the island, with a focus on promoting the visitor economy. They established the Hurricane Maria Relief Fund, which has raised over $4 million dollars to date. Habitat for Humanity Puerto Rico

Habitat for Humanity Puerto Rico is the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Their mission is to build and repair homes for low-income families on the island, and to help families affected by hurricane Maria find safe places to live. Plenitud de Puerto Rico is a farm and educational community dedicated to service in sustainability and the arts. Rescate Playas Borinquen is a community based stewardship that is dedicated to the restoration of outdoor recreational areas and the protection of nature around Playas Borinquen in Aquadilla. Taller Salud is a community based feminist organization working to improve women's access to healthcare, reduce violence within the community, and encourage economic growth through education and activism. All Hands and Hearts is a global organization that addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters. Their Puerto Rico Relief Program is committed to working in Puerto Rico until at least September of 2019, and they are currently accepting volunteers to help with their efforts in Yabucoa. The Hispanic Federation's mission is to empower and advance the Hispanic community through work in the areas of education, health, immigration, civic engagement, economic empowerment, & the environment. They have five offices nationwide, including one in Puerto Rico. Their Unidos Fund specifically focuses on rebuilding efforts in Puerto Rico. Friends of Puerto Rico is a social impact organization focused on investing in the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. PRxPR | NY

PR x PR works to help the most critically affected communities on the island. It was launched by a group of Puerto Rican business leaders, and they were able to raise over $1 million in only three months. Donations impact short and long term humanitarian needs that focus on food/agriculture, clean water, and renewable energy initiatives. NeChama | MN

NeChama provides natural disaster response, rebuild, and preparedness training services. Their Puerto Rico program is the first- ever program for the organization outside the continental United States.
